For Give 4 Garnet 2026, we are asking for your support of three initiatives within the college: student scholarships, experiential learning and children’s literacy.
Scholarships from the Dean’s Excellence Fund allow the college to attract the best and most motivated students. These exceptional students raise the profile of the college and go on to become successful alumni.
The second area is hands-on learning experiences such as study-away and professional conferences. Our month-long program in Spain is designed to be accessible to most students, and we have shorter study-away options in a variety of locations that connect to a student’s specific career interests. The CIC Student Experience Fund helps students deepen their understanding of the concepts they learn in our classes through these enriching, hands-on programs.
Finally, we are focusing on Cocky’s Reading Express, our statewide children’s literary initiative. After a phenomenal 20thanniversary year, during which they distributed over 22,500 books to grade school children across South Carolina, the program needs a new bus to continue their work inspiring children to read. You can help keep Cocky’s Reading Express on the road for years to come.
