Millions of people have some type of speech or language impairment. You can help a local patient receive treatment at the Montgomery Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic with your gift during Give 4 Garnet.
For nearly 50 years, the Arnold School of Public Health’s Montgomery Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic has provided quality diagnostic and treatment programs for individuals of all ages with a variety of issues, including:
The clinic houses one of only two cochlear implant/auditory-verbal programs in South Carolina and helps prepare the next generation of speech-language pathologists and researchers.
Each year, the clinic logs 6,000 patient visits and 225 patient outreach hours. Housed in the Arnold School’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, the clinic always benefits from being informed by the latest research in the field, with the researchers sharing office space and often seeing patients as well.
Your gift will help provide needed speech, language and hearing treatment to individuals who may not be able to afford the services that improve their communication skills and help them succeed in educational, vocational and social areas. Your gift also enables the clinic to increase its innovative speech, language and hearing programs.
