Student Learn and Earn Program at University Libraries

University of South Carolina Libraries is more than study space for students. For many, it’s how they earn money while learning valuable work skills that propel them into a lifelong profession.

University Libraries’ Learn and Earn Program employs students in all our departments. Students learn all industry-standard aspects of librarianship, from working the circulation desk to preserving rare and fragile items in our archives.

The Learn and Earn Program prepares students for the work environment. In addition to learning hands-on library skills, they learn to grow and thrive as professionals. Having students work alongside our full-time staff also keeps our thinking fresh and innovative.

The amount of funding we can set aside for the Learn and Earn Program determines how many students we can employ every year. We count on gifts from donors like you to sustain this program that ultimately impacts all students campus-wide.

When you Give 4 Garnet this year, please support the student Learn and Earn Program at University Libraries.
